Hey diddle diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped
over the moon;
The little dog laughed
to see such sport,
And the dish ran
away with the spoon
In olden days in England, it was common to call people
by silly nicknames. The queen Elizabeth was called the
cat because she played with her cabinet as if they were
mice. The cow, the moon and her dog were a part of the
fun in court ! Her serving lady was termed as the dish
and the royal taster was called the spoon !.. They had
both eloped but were later captured and confined to the
tower of London ! hehe !…
