SHEMROCK with colourful, attractive and well designed
surroundings is really a child's dreamland. Our
Montessori wing provides specially designed rich
learning material and scope for creative activities such
as Reading, Painting, Story Telling, Dressing Up, Make
Believe Games, Scribbling Boards, Jumbles, Jigsaws,
Building Blocks, Finger Painting, Clay Modelling, Paper
Tearing, Folding and Pasting etc., Role playing Games
in the Doll house Corner help the child in understanding
people in different phases of life. He also expresses
his imagination and aspirations for the future. The
basic concepts of numbers and mathematical understanding
etc. is developed through experience of buying and
selling in the Arcade Shops. The use of modern
audio-visual aids such as T.V., V.C.R., Projectors build
up interest and make learning easy. |

Outdoor Play-Pen includes swings, slides, jungle gym,
giant bouncy, mini train, merry-go-round and many other
types of equipment. Through the use of appropriate
apparatus, children develop their co-ordination skills
required to play more organized games when they are
older. Sand pit, water pool, tunnels, occasional
elephant/horse rides, magic shows, bear shows, monkey
shows, puppet shows and intimacy with animals & birds
develop confidence among children. |

The Mid-day Meals is a unique facility at
SHEMROCK. The meals consist of one milk preparation (one
pot dish-to maintain hygiene) and one fresh fruit. The
school uses pasteurized full-cream milk ensuring food of
the highest quality. The children are served meals to
their full satisfaction.... there is no limit!! Children
who do not normally eat at home start eating with their
friends. Thus, eating in peer group not only improves
child's nutrition but also teaches good food habits and
table manners. |
The puddings served are : Cornflakes, Custard,
Vermicelli, Porridge & Kheer. Fresh Fruit, washed and
cleaned is served in addition to the puddings.
Variety in meals is introduced on various occasions such
as special functions, festivals, celebrations and
picnics.
Filtered / mineral / R.O. water is served in the school so
the children are not required to bring water bottles.
Picnics : Refreshment and water arrangement are made by

Fun with a Purpose !!
Busy is how most people describe the pace at SHEMROCK.
Momentum is high and each day is full and exciting,
children follow a daily routine of activities designed
to build specific skills but one day is never the same
as the next. A wide range of activities included in
their schedule are - singing, listening stories,
dramatics/ plays, group projects, nature walks and
outdoor games etc. These activities provide
opportunities for creativity, physical co-ordination,
emotional maturity, practical and social skills.
Childhood is a time for fun and learning. Children's minds
are sharpened, energy channelized and potential fully
developed through a variety of purposeful activities. At
SHEMROCK the total programme is Play Oriented. Through
these play activities - children grow up making their
own decisions and discoveries. Besides this, a climate
of creativity is maintained throughout the year.
Activities like painting, rhyming, singing, clay
modelling, block building, fancy dress etc. are being
organized in the school from time to time.
Activity books--"Pink Book and Pre-School
Concepts"--have been specially written & designed by Dr.
(Mrs.) B. Arora & Mrs. A. Sabharwal for our children.
These books are tailor made for concept development and
are full of exciting activities for our children using
the rich material available.
School celebrates various functions like-Republic Day,
Children's Day, Teachers Day, School Children's
Birthdays and Festivals like-Diwali, Christmas, Lohri,
Basant, Holi, Baisakhi, Rakhi, Janam Ashtami, Dussehra
etc. to give the right concept and appreciation of our
diverse culture. Thus, though American style yet our
roots are embedded in the rich Indian Heritage. Birthday
of the children are celebrated once in a month.
Distribution of gifts is not permitted.
The school organizes various functions and events in
which parents & guests are always enthusiastic to
participate & co-operate. Summer camps/hobby classes &
various competitions are also conducted for children of
different age groups. The great success of our school
functions is the result of their encouragement,
participation and sponsorship. |
