Effective Parenting

A Parenting Workshop was
organized at Shemrock's corporate office. Renowned
psychologist, Mr. Gulraj S. Shahpuri was the chief
spokesman and gave many suggestions to the parents
to help them build self-esteem in their children.
Another notable speaker was Dr. Rohit Arora, the
Deputy Director of SANOFI PASTEURS. He counselled
the parents about Influenza — How it spreads and how
to protect a child against it?
An Art & Dance performance was also organised. This
was conducted with the purpose of guiding the
parents towards engaging their children in creative
activities, like dancing and painting, which help to
channelize the child’s energy in a more effective,
creative and constructive manner.
On the occasion, Dr (Mrs.) B Arora, the Founder
Director of the Shemrock Group of Schools, said, "We
are taking a proactive approach to promoting
wellness in our schools through a variety of
awareness programmes and activities that are a blend
of being fun-filled, informative and educative.
Health and wellbeing is crucial for little minds to
be nurtured and this has always been our larger
goal." This belief is upheld in each of Shemrock’s
90 branches. |
