Mother's Day at Shemrock |
The practice of
celebrating the mother's day is not alien to India.
Mother's Day is a time of commemoration and
celebration for moms. The more personal festival of
mothers day has also come to become a part of our
culture now. What it offers is an opportunity to
honor and show our appreciation for blood mother;
the one who stood by us through our thick and thin.
Shemrock Group of Schools , one of country's leading
preschools having around 100 branches all over India oraganised "Mother's Day out" for moms and children.
The event was organized at the Gold Souk mall in
Pitampura. There were a lot of exciting activities
for the 500 toddlers and the mothers who came for
the day long event.
The day started with pampering the children with a
magic show. Children could be seen clapping
enthusiastically to the tricks performed by the
magician. This was followed by the treasure hunt
which saw teams running all around the souk
searching for clues and gifts!
Excited mothers could be seen queuing up to
participate in the talented mother contest. The all
time favourite – "baby show" had the maximum
participating with the cute little contestants
showing off their skills.
Combined mother and child duo show – "Masti Mein
Dole" like dancing together, painting together,
matching and eye catching, cat walk etc. yummy eats,
prizes for mothers by Gold Souk and gifts for all
participants. Above all there were lucky draw and
much more for one and all, fun and games for mothers
& children.
With the advent and popularity of reality shows it
was no wonder that the talent show participants
looked so professional and it looked like each one
of them was ready to be become the next Indian idol!
At the end of the function Director & Founder of
Shemrock Preschools- Dr. (Mrs) Bimla Arora- spoke to
kids about the significance of Mother's day and to
the parents about the need to spend quality time
with their children |
