Shemrock celebrates the Festivals of Colours

It was a day full of joy, fun, enjoyment and revelry as the Shemrock Group of Schools, one of the country's leading chain of preparatory school having 95 branches across India celebrated Holi- a festival of colours & love, with great enthusiasm. The toddlers and their teachers participated in the festival with full zest and fervour.
The children sang the Holi Rhyme (DUM DUM DUM, Holi Has Come..) with excitement throughout the colour week (different colors on different days). The excitement was palpable and was evident in all the students as they were really enthusiastic about the celebration.
Children came to school all dressed up in white. They played Holi with their peers. All the kids played with dry non-toxic skin friendly colour (Gulal). Children hugged each other, and put gulal on each other's face saying 'Holi Mubarak!' Special care was given to kids who are not so fond of colors. The air reverberated with Holi songs. They were treated with delicacies specially prepared for the day - Gujia. The kids were really excited while playing Holi as it could be seen in their face and by their moves.
"At the end of the day, children had so much fun smearing colours on each other that we could recognize them!" remarked one teacher at Shemrock. At the end the Director and Founder of Shemrock Group Dr. Bimla Arora gave an eco friendly message to all Shemrockites to play Holi with dry colors only & hug each other and not to throw balloons on passerby. She also explained the kids about the significance of Holi and the importance of colours in one's life.
