Stories are a very important part of the small little world that exists in the minds of small kids. They have an imaginative place of their own where they assimilate their own small world and have a lot of fun in this creative niche that they carve for themselves. Telling stories to children becomes a very good way for the parents to interact and spend time with their kids. However, sometimes children get bored with stories which are old and repeated. To keep their interest in stories, it is suggested to tell them some great new stories which will always keep them interested.

The stories that are told to kids should be very interesting and exciting. Since kids love action, the best way to keep them engrossed in the stories is to tell them some which are full of exciting words, experiences, etc. Also, it is important that the right way is used to tell these stories which may involve the use of good expressions, hands, actions, gestures, etc. This helps the children connect to the stories and they can easily know the expressions and recognise them. Choose stories which are short and easily understandable.

If you wish to spend some time with your kids and at the same time wish to enhance their creativity, there is no better way than telling them kids’ stories. Since kids are easily taken by the stories of imaginative creatures like goblins, dwarfs, wizards, etc this is the best way to connect to them and be a part of their creative world.

Telling kids’ stories to the young ones serves various purposes. The first and very important purpose is that you can make good use of the time that you spend with your kid. This story time is a good way to express your love to your child. Either of the parents can spend time with the child which will serve a dual purpose. The child will also be able to learn various kinds of expressions. Happiness, excitement, joy, fear, excitement, etc are some of these emotions that kids learn to express.

Through kids’ stories, parents can also impart values to the children. Stories that have morals can be told to the kids so as to impart lessons which will be important to them in life. Kids are young and full of energy which they wish to utilise to have fun and pleasure. This storehouse of energy present in toddlers has to be utilised in the right direction so as to develop a harmonious personality. For this, it is suggested that the kids are allowed to play and use their energies better with toys.

If they are not allowed to play interactive games, the extra energy in children can act against them leading to frustration and therefore aggression in the child. To prevent such things from happening, it is always best that the child is let loose to practise his own imagination and develop his creativity. Toys help a lot in developing enthusiasm and zeal in children. A habit to take up new assignments willingly is developed in the childhood itself through this way itself.

Various skills like self-control, concentration, refinement of motor skills is all developed through play with educational toys. Coordination and concentration are two important C2 skills that the children learn through their play with toys. Even language development happens with toys and so is the bridging of the gap between the mental and the manual skills of the child. Sorting, classification, matching, pairing etc are also learnt by the child through toys. Various positive parameters are very well developed of the child’s personality with the right toys that they can be given to play with.
