Shemrock Celebrates Children’s Week

Shemrock Group Of Schools celebrated the entire week of 14^th November as the Children’s Week. The children enjoyed a week full of fun and excitement at Shemrock. There were many fun filled activities for them, through which the children exhibited their fine motor skills, imagination, creativity and expressed their knowledge freely.

The Children’s Week kicked off with ShemFEST 2k9 – a Children’s Mega Mela organized at Dilli Haat Grounds on 7^th and 8^th November.

The week long activities were as follows:

Shemrockites started their week with Clay Modeling & Colouring Competition and then proceeded to the “Wow Wednesday” activities. The theme for this week was ‘Party – Party’.

On Thursday there was a Show and Tell Competition based on the concept that Chacha Nehru loved animals a lot. To show their understanding of animals, Shemrock kids came dressed in different animals mask and spoke a few lines on the animal they were dressed up in as.

On Friday, 13^th November, ‘Shemrock Prince and Princess’ contest was held. Through this contest, children are given an opportunity for stage exposure at an early age itself to boost their confidence and enhance the overall personality of the kid. The children were very excited and came dressed in various party dresses. Also the kids had a chance to win many prizes as there were many award winning categories such as “Best Smile”, “Longest Hair”, “Best Dressed”, “Most Confident Kid” & “Kid with Special Talent”. Each child brought a red rose and presented it to Chacha Nehru (a teacher dressed as Chacha Nehru) to show his/her love and adulation for him.

Shemrock Presents ShemFEST 2k9

ShemFEST2k9 is a Cultural Mela organised for kids in lieu of Children’s Day at Dilli Haat Pitampura, on 7th and 8th November 2009.

These events are being organized to ensure a good turnout of parents for ShemFEST. As these events are being handled by our experienced staff from different branches – you can rest assured that these hands would be the best event management team for preschools in the country!

All city schools will now start their nursery admission after December 15 according to Directorate of Education. The Education Director has stipulated that the admission schedule will have to start from Dec 15 to 31. But some schools in the Capital have already announced the dates for sale of forms. As per the court orders, the schools are free to decide the dates for sale of forms, provided the DOE has no objection to it. But, no school shall start their admission procedure before December 15.

The guidelines for nursery admissions will be finalized in a week and circulars will be sent to the schools soon afterwards. While the schools are within their rights to follow their own admission schedule, they are required to intimate the DOE, in case they plan to deviate from the said set of guidelines. DOE will issue more directives about admissions in early next week. All this is done to ensure the convenience of the parents regarding the admission process, as DOE feels that the parents will benefit more, if all schools issue forms within the same timeframe.
